The Sauvignon wine has French origins, then spread throughout the world. In the area of the "Colli Orientali del Friuli" found an ideal surrounding for an excellent production. It's one of the most popular and appreciated white grape vine varieties. It has small and compact bunches, with medium large and round grapes, with thick peel.
It's grown with the Guyot and double-arched cane training system, and the grapes are harvested by hand in the second decade of September.
The Sauvignon wine has a straw yellow colour, sometimes with green shades; its a dry white wine with a recognizable aroma reminiscent of elder flowers, sage and mint. It has an harmonious and typical aroma, with a good acidity.
Suitable as aperitif, it can be paired with asparagus dishes, grilled vegetables, fish and medium aged cheeses.
Serve at 8-10 °C.
