Merlot is the most common red wine produced in Friuli-Venezia Giulia. It's a dry red wine with a full and fragrant aroma.

Merlot wine is produced with grapes harvested by hand in the first decade of October. It ages in large oak barrels for then months, followed by two months in the bottle.

It has a very intense ruby red colour. A well-structured taste, with hints of black cherry, raspberry and blueberry.
It pairs with red meats , roasts, poultry and rabbit.
